West Ham Sack Nuno Espírito Santo After Disappointing Championship Results
West Ham United have parted ways with Nuno Espírito Santo following a disappointing start to their Championship campaign.
The Portuguese manager was dismissed on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, after consecutive defeats against Southampton and West Bromwich Albion increased pressure on his position. The 3-1 home defeat to West Brom proved to be his final match in charge.
West Ham currently sit eighth in the Championship table, six points behind leaders Middlesbrough, as their hopes of securing an immediate return to the Premier League face an early challenge.
Assistant coach Rui Pedro Silva and goalkeeping coach Rui Barbosa have also left the club.
Former captain Mark Noble will help oversee the team alongside Steve Potts and Gerard Prenderville while West Ham search for a permanent replacement.
Scott Parker has emerged as a potential candidate for the vacant position, although no appointment has been officially confirmed.
Nuno joined West Ham in September 2025 after replacing Graham Potter but was unable to prevent the club's relegation from the Premier League last season.
The Hammers must now find a new leader capable of restoring confidence and getting their promotion campaign back on track.
